Job Title: Service and Warranty Assistant
Department: Service and Warranty
Reports to: Service and Warranty Lead

Summary:
Under the supervision of the service and warranty lead, this position will assist this department in handling dealer and consumer warranty claims, returned merchandise, and service work.

Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
•Answer incoming phone calls and emails from dealers and consumers regarding warranties, service & technical questions, and returns.
•Obtain all details and decide on best course of action within pre-set guidelines
•Maintain accurate notes and records
•Investigate and reproduce mechanical or technical problems
•Provide clear instruction to solve technical & assembly issues
•Receiving/organizing/storing items for warranty or Rockshox related parts
•Rockshox/SRAM/Avid/Shimano service
•Assemble and evaluate new bikes or parts for compatibility, report findings to product mangers
•Produce instructions and digital photos for dealers on schematics or how to reassemble items
•Reporting to Purchasing on missing items or problems with products
•Run and update recurring and one-time reports
•Assist with trade-show preparation
•Maintain customer satisfaction while working within the guidelines of SBS and Accell North America
•Additional service and warranty assistance as needed

Knowledge/Education
•High School Diploma or equivalent

Qualifications:
•Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
•Ability to listen and communicate clearly, in person, phone or written words
•Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills for all types of bicycles
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

•3 years’ experience in bicycle shop or distributor
•Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
•Customer service or vendor relations experience
•Thorough understanding of bicycle parts & compatibility
•Keeping a clean working environment
•Proactive and able to work with little supervision
