Bertrand Briois Hired As Redline European Sales Manager

Posted on February 23, 2009

Dijon, France: REDLINE BICYCLES, the well known American BMX and Cyclo-cross brand owned by Seattle Bike Supply [an Accell Group company], has recently hired BERTRAND BRIOIS as their new European Sales Manager. Based out of France, Bertrand will head up the Redline headquarters – to maintain closer contact with its current international distributors and help further increase sales and distribution of Redline bicycles throughout Europe.

Briois is no stranger to the European cycling scene; having worked in the bicycle industry since 1997 in England, France and Switzerland. In the past ten years, Bertrand has been affiliated sales and product development with brands such as Diamondback, Raleigh, Nakamura, and most recently with Giro, Bell and Easton.

“My love for bicycles began with BMX,” admits Briois, who on occasion, still attends BMX races for fun and pleasure. “With Redline having such deep roots in the sport, it’s a real honor to be in charge of their European expansion and sales.”

Thanks in part to the recent debut of BMX racing in the Beijing Olympics, Redline is banking on an increase in sales of 20” and 24” BMX bikes, from the world wide exposure. With his strong background of marketing and sales strategies, SBS looks for Bertrand Briois to help push the Redline brand beyond the usual realm of BMX tracks and skateparks. Additionally, he will be introducing Redline’s Conquest line of cyclo-cross bikes to key CX markets throughout Europe. Redline ‘cross bikes have been used by many National championship racers in the U.S. but distribution outside of the States has been limited – until now.
